TakePart.com is announcing its TakePart Tastemakers, an inaugural list of 100 local shops from coast to coast that embody the spirit of the film Food, Inc. Eric Schlosser's documentary championed ways to change the current state of the food system – by eating local and sustainable and organic – and these shops are seen as leaders in their communities, responsible for spreading the good-tasting message of "Food Done Right."
TakePart.com gave us a sneak peek at 20 of the 100 shops on the list ahead of their 9 a.m. announcement of the full list. Ten shops each were chosen in Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, Portland (Oregon), San Francisco, Seattle, and the Twin Cities.
