Saturday Sampler

FREE COOKING DEMOS

We are out in front of the shop every Saturday, rain or shine, sub-zero temperatures or snow, or 100 degrees, grilling samples of all kinds of wonderful fish and seafood.

This Saturday, we have a couple of our friends helping us with our sampling…

Darryl returns with his famous jerk sauce which we will be applying to our famous salmon and shrimp. and the guys from our favorite Pepper Jam will be here slathering their wonderful jam on our fish!

Hands on Sushi Class

Learn about the fish, rice, sushi, and equipment. We will first demonstrate an assortment of maki rolls and nigiri. During the demonstration, we will serve our homemade ginger avocado tuna salad, then it's on to rolling your own dinner. Each couple will have a kit with all the necessary ingredients to roll all the sushi demonstrated.

Chowdah Fest

This is an annual event which is a fund raiser for the Chicago Sea Scouts. It's held at the fantastic Columbia Yacht Club which is one of the best venues in Chicago.

They've expanded Chowdah Fest this year from just chowder to all seafood, paella, ceviche, sliders, oysters, amuse bites, grill stations, etc.
