Cheddar Cheese Bread Bowls
1 small loaf of bread per person.
1/4 cup shredded sharp white cheddar cheese per bowl.
Slice the top third of each loaf off with a serrated knife. Save the tops. Scoop all the bread from the inside of the loaf just leaving the crust. Put the shredded cheese inside the hollowed out loaf and spread it out going up the sides as much as possible.
Place bowls under broiler until cheese melts, 3 to 5 minutes. Keep an eye on them, you don't want them to burn. Remove from broiler when cheese is melted. Place each bowl on a plate and fill with your favorite soup.
You can toast the tops lightly and use them to cover the bowls when serving. Tops are also good for dipping. Enjoy!
