Plank Grilled Salmon Fillets

Ingredients

  • 1 cedar plank(available at Dirk's), well soaked in water or wine. Soak for at least an hour, more is better.

  • 2 pounds salmon fillets, skinned

  • 8 oz. Terry-aki marinade (any of our other marinades will work also, try them all).

Directions

  • Place fish in marinade for 30 to 45 minutes, at room temperature.

  • Put fish on the plank and the plank directly on a hot grill. Cover the grill and let fish cook for 12 to 15 minutes depending on thickness of the fish. Check about halfway through, the plank should be smoldering but not on fire. Leaving the lid closed will keep the plank from burning but if you have to spray it with a little water, just do the edges of the plank.

  • Slide the fish off the plank when its done leaving the plank on the grill. Either burn the plank up or place it in a bucket of water to exstingish the fire. Planks are one time use only.
